American challenge Japanese giant robots duel

On Friday, last week, the giant robot maker American origin, MegaBot Inc. challenging Suidobashi Heavy Industries, maker of giant Japanese robot, for pitting two robots made by them. And yesterday, Suidobashi give their answer. They accept the challenge to a duel, with one condition: they will do battle with his bare hands.

Kuratas, Sudobashi artificial robot, created about 3 years ago. He even once sold at a price of USD1.35 million (Rp 18 M). Meanwhile, Megabot, MegaBots artificial robot Inc., has just been completed. Therefore, Sudobashi admit they were surprised by the challenge to fight this.

Even so, they can not say anything after being challenged in public like that.

"My reaction? Come on, make a robot more interesting. Just make a giant robot and a pair pistol on the robot ... It is an act typical of Americans," said Kogoro Kurata, CEO Sudobashi.

Meanwhile, when compared with Kuratas, MegaBot have larger sizes and can be controlled two pilots. He did not have wheels or legs, instead, it has a tank tread. Gui Cavalcanti, one of the founders MegaBots said that the goal of making MegaBot is to "Making concepts that exist in video games and sci-fi movie to be real in the form of a giant robot fighter."

At first, the concept of making a giant robot appeared on Kickstarter, though in the end it could be made with the help of Autodesk, the software giant American company.

When receiving the challenge from America, Kurata said, "We can not let other countries win. Robot giant is Japanese culture."

He then reiterated that he will accept this challenge.

"Yes, I will fight with them. It is certain," he said. He also added that he wanted the two giant robots to fight with bare hands, without using a gun.

"I want to hit them until the fall," Kurata said.

He let the team MegaBots to regulate when and where this duel will take place. Within a period of one year, MegaBots are to have been preparing for this duel.
